Free guided and dramatized visits to the Palace of the Marqueses de la Algaba, Seville.

Seville City Council, through the Equality Delegation, Education, Citizen Participation and District Coordination, and within its strategy to publicize the heritage of the city, has scheduled one more edition of the free guided and dramatized visits to the Palace of the Marquises of La Algaba, which will start on friday 12 November and will run until 12 December.

Through theatrical and musical representation, six actors, actresses and singers (under the coordination of a stage manager) They will visit the Palace of the Marquises of La Algaba so that the audience can enjoy the singular beauty of this building, in addition to knowing the history and legends that surround it in a way aimed at all ages.

The visits will take place the days 12, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28 November and 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11 and 12 December, in hours 20:00 a 21:00 hours Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 19 a 20 hours on sundays. Reservations can be made on the municipal website and those for that week will be released every Monday. Each visit will have 40 plazas, therefore, a total of 640.

“This is a magnificent opportunity to get to know this emblematic space of our city, for many and many unknown, through an attractive cultural and leisure program”, has indicated the delegate of General Coordination of Districts, Citizen participation, Education and Municipal Buildings, Adela Castano.

The activity begins on the main façade of the building (Plaza Calderon de la Barca). From there, there will be a historical-artistic visit that aims to follow a chronological axis from the oldest part of the palace: the mudejar tower (from its base, today entrance hall, to its famous cover). Once inside, You will go to the large patio with a Renaissance plan and its special characteristics. With this tour you will be able to observe the lower rooms and their reforms from the 17th and 18th centuries; then going up its lavish staircase, a sign of modernity at the time of its construction. The public will walk through what remains of its fabulous gardens, You will recognize the old main entrances of the building and will take a mandatory tour for those who come to this palace: a visit to the museum of Mudéjar art.
