In the twentieth century the exhibits were developed as producing devices subjectivities, experiences and speeches. The different ways by which works of art were presented to the public were building, in addition to the mere display of these, narratives where they were filtering the dominant ideologies at all times. In recent years many contemporary artists have shown interest in addressing critical aspects of exhibition events, with a strong awareness of the sense of history and mechanisms of fiction. Through a thoughtful work on some collections, museums or exhibitions last, these artists try to make visible some of the silences, misunderstandings or undeveloped possibilities of writing last.

Exposure Thousand beasts that roar. Exposure devices for critical modernity It approximates three areas where these crosslinks can be observed. First artists who question the association between the so-called "primitive art" and art are presented, an interested union that helped expand the taste of a modern bourgeoisie seem eager. Secondly, artists exploring the cultural context of postwar exposed, a time when the construction of the canon of modern art coincided with the interests of cultural diplomacy of the Cold War. Last, works of artists working with the unstoppable flow of images and reproductions are shown, whose recombinations that have significantly altered the way we think exposures. Despite this division, many of the works in this exhibition might belong to several of these areas and, thus, visitors are invited to establish new dialogues between them.
