The Zahir Ensemble group led by its founder, maestro Juan García Rodríguez, have designed a creative project in which representative productions of contemporary chamber opera will be presented regularly, both newly created and existing ones from the repertoire that emerged in the 21st century.

This idea was born with the purpose of supporting contemporary music, to its composers, musicians, young creators in general, but also to promote the creation of a new public closer to this discipline and language.

These operas have already been premiered at the Taschen opern festival in Salzburg, consolidated pocket opera festival that has been taking place since the year 2005, produced by Klang 21 (Association for the Promotion of Contemporary Music and Performing Arts) and directed by Thierry Brühl.

The intention of this project is to continue adding reference European institutions in this program and contribute to the co-production of new titles.
