Seville: Nile virus confirmed cases rise to ten

This Thursday the confirmed cases of the Nile virus in Seville have risen to ten.

The number of positive samples is 37.

There are 17 admitted patients, one more than Wednesday, of which, six remain in ICU.

The cases associated with the Fiber of the Nile virus already affect 12 municipalities of the province of Seville, mainly to the towns of Coria and La Puebla del Río.

The municipalities of:

  • Bormujos
  • Almensilla
  • Beds
  • Mairena del Alcor
  • Gelves
  • Dos Hermanas
  • Los Palacios
  • Seville
  • The heads
  • Lebrija

They have already been affected by the outbreak.

The zoosanitary service of the capital may launch a fumigation campaign against mosquitoes in the humid areas of the city.

Joining with the municipalities of the province that are carrying out these efforts to prevent outbreaks of the Nile virus.
