Seville: The Nile virus already reaches 12 municipalities

The cases associated with the Fiber of the Nile virus already affect 12 municipalities of the province of Seville, mainly to the towns of Coria and La Puebla del Río.

At a press conference offered by the mayors of Coria and La Puebla, Modesto González and Manuel Bejarano, have confirmed the number of associated cases in these localities, with 14 and eight affected, respectively.

In addition, have stated that these municipalities have already been affected by the outbreak.

  • Mairena del Alcor
  • Gelves
  • Dos Hermanas
  • Los Palacios
  • Seville

  • Lebrija

"The people affected, (except in the case of Seville East), they have stated that they were in this region for one reason or another ".

The number of samples positive for Nile fever is 34 and there are six confirmed cases.

They are still entered 16 patients, four less than Tuesday, of which, six remain in ICU, one less than in the last 24 hours.

Nile fever in horses continues to add cases, after being detected this week 13 new, what elevates 32 those registered so far this year in Andalusia.

Seville is the one with a total of 23 cases in the localities of:

  • Los Palacios y Villafranca (8)
  • Lebrija (6)
  • Dos Hermanas (5)
  • Las Cabezas de San Juan (2)
  • Utrera (1)
  • Morón de la Frontera (1)
