Departure from La Candelaria in extraordinary procession on 5 June 2021

The Virgen de la Candelaria will go out in an extraordinary procession on Saturday 5 June 2021.

It is the cult that the brotherhood will celebrate on Holy Tuesday to commemorate the centenary of the foundation and that has been approved by the Archbishopric of Seville.

The corporation informed the brothers that they had received, the official communication authorizing the celebration of various extraordinary services on the occasion of said anniversary.

The first of them will take place on 26 February, when the image of the Lord of Health, preside over a Stations of the Cross, a pious act that the corporation celebrates annually after the celebration of the quinary in his honor, but that next year it will take place in the liturgical period that precedes Holy Week.

The second cult will be the 5 June, the Saturday after Corpus Christi, when the Virgin of Candelaria comes out in extraordinary procession.

It should be taken into account that for this year there are still pending various extraordinary cults of brotherhoods of the capital and the province, including the transfer of the Great Power to the neighborhood of Los Pajaritos and whose celebration is waiting to know the evolution of the pandemic.
