Spain Square was built in 1929 on the occasion of the Ibero-American Exposition.

It was designed by the great local architect Seville, Aníbal González , Its semi-elliptical shape is a symbol of the embrace between the former metropolis and its colonies. In addition, the building looks borders to the Guadalquivir, place from which the journey is undertaken to America.
