Michal Znaniecki, one of the most international and influential creators of opera and theater in Poland, arrives in Spain (after passing through various parts of Europe, such as Poland, Italy, Argentina and Ukraine) to present first "Voice of the Excluded" the Jutroprea Foundation, the main project of the European Capital of Culture Wroc?and 2016, which integrates and confronts on stage to professional artists and groups at risk of social exclusion: old people, inmates, psychiatric patients, orphans, ethnic minorities. The Spanish edition will be premiered at the Teatro Lope de Vega in Seville, It aims to carry out a project of participatory opera, understood as a platform for collaboration between artists from Poland and Sevilla involving public institutions, associations and groups in the city and the biggest-and most importantly nursing home residents in Seville.

This time, the project "The voice of the excluded" from Jutropera Foundation presents the show "Seeking the King", based on fragments of the immortal work “King Lear "of W. Shakespeare and the most majestic fragments of the play "King Spirit" by Polish writer Juliusz Slowacki, one of the three "Bards" of Polish literature, and unfinished script prepared by Verdi opera project for "King Lear" unfinished a work of art of great value to the author.

Theatrically one dramaturgical network weaves emotions sought by Verdi himself, coating the structure of the booklet with cold affections, relationships and emotions. The work materializes through a collage of theater and music in which the King in his last days of life is in the trance of dividing his kingdom among his three daughters. All of the above is told through excerpts from the operas of Giuseppe Verdi: solo numbers, choirs, interventions of the orchestra, dance numbers and the indispensable participation of major groups from institutions sevillanas, all under the direction of Michal Znaniecki.

The presentation of this assembly in Spanish is the first time you will be on stage and being Seville the space chosen for its world premiere, although in the auditorium of CICUS (Center for Cultural Initiatives, University of Sevilla), collaborative project entity, last year he enjoyed a first sample with public. In that occasion, It has told the elders from different institutions of the city such as the Brotherhood of Santa Caridad, Doña María Foundation and Geron Foundation.
