He attended the Berklee School of Music for two and a half years before leaving to tour with Gary Burton, at that time one of the “big” jazz. then, he moved to Brooklyn where he continued to mature and becomes one of the guitarists of his generation more prominent playing with 'The Human Feel', ‘Paul Motian’s Electric Bebop Band’, ‘Joe Henderson Group’, and Brian Blade Fellowship '.

Since then he has performed and recorded either as leader or as a sideman with artists of the caliber of Mark Turner, Brad Mehldau, Joshua Redman, Chris Potter, Jeff Ballard, Eric Harland, Aaron Parks, Seamus Blake, Jason Lindner, Danilo Pérez, Aaron Goldberg and many others. His album 2005, ‘Deep Song’ (2005), also it has the participation of Mehldau and Joshua Redman. Among his albums worthy of note are 'The Enemies of Energy', ‘The Next Step’ and the experimental 'Heartcore'.

At 2012 It has released the double album 'Star Of Jupiter', Aaron Parks on piano, Eric Revis on bass and Justin Faulkner on drums.

In 2014 launches its latest project, the trio 'Bandit 65', Rosenwinkel formed by itself, fellow guitarist and drummer Tim Motzer Gintas Janusonis, reviewing some aspects of the psychedelia of the sixties of the last century. An amazing soundscape created with stunning improvisations and some electronics, playing with the vibrant aesthetic of the prodigious decade.
