Ian Anderson and the band Jethro Tull have announced that they will be back on the road with The Prog Years Tour.
This tour will draw heavily on material from the more 'progressive' albums ofJethro Tull, many of which will focus on early classic album heavyweights includingStand Up, Benefit, Aqualung, Thick As A Brick, Passion Playand even a touch ofThick As A Brick 2 of 2012.
Widely recognized as the man who introduced the flute to rock music, Ian Andersonit is still the greatest exponent of popular and rock genres. In the eightiesIan Anderson started his solo career, although without leaving the tours and the recording of new albums withJethro Tull , receiving theGrammyto the best rock album forCrest Of A Knaveof 1987.
The band has been expanding its repertoire with new musical influences and the participation of new members and recognitions. After performing more than 3000 concerts in 40 countries over five decades, Tullnormally performs more than 100 concerts every year and continues to celebrate 50 years ofJethro Tull with various dates in the United States and in other parts of the world.
