From 28 October to 11 November 2018 Seville.
25 International Festival of Contemporary Dance.

The festival will host specific activities for children and adolescents and women over 65 years old. The program includes workshops peripheral activities, meetings, book presentations and projections.

The complete program of MES DANCE 25, as well as information about registration for all workshops, It will be available on the web mesdedanza.es from Monday 1 October.

Childhood and adolescence are again protagonists of Dance and Education program. Through "Baila Mi Cole», Coordinated by the creator and teacher Elisa del Pozo. Dance sneaks into the school for assembly and learning by students in grades 5 primary a small choreographic piece. This year we will work on CEIP Andalucía (Polígono Sur) and the created piece is represented in Cultural Factoría. On the other hand, Catalan creator Miguel G. Font develop its project "Teen Time Gone" on the IES Gustavo Adolfo Becquer. Work as pedagogical capsules to connect with teens, to empathize with the language of dance-theater and feel identified with the situations represented and including a representation of dance open to the public at the school itself.

 

MONTH OF DANCE will host this 2018 the workshop "The Many" of the Balearic company Mariantònia Oliver. Enn which will work with ladies over 65 years old. Choreographer proposes a fun experience, stimulating and enriching: approach the dance and the body from an informal methodology. Once the workshop concluded, the group or part of it will be invited to participate in the show "The Many", the company will present at the Sala Manuel Garcia del Teatro Maestranza.

PERIPHERAL ACTIVITIES

In addition to these specific actions of direct intervention, Dance Month program completes its peripheral activities with a wide range of workshops, meetings and projections to facilitate an approach to dance from very different perspectives. So, celebrate its seventh edition workshops "Words in Motion ', critical writing about dance hand Federica Fratagnoli, and "Moments in Motion", on scenic photography and taught by Luis Castilla, Photographer festival in their 25 editions.

 

Specifically aimed at professional workshops taught creators Daniel Abreu, in collaboration with the Conservatory of Dance in Seville, and Monica Valenciano, in collaboration with the Association of Professional Dance in Andalusia (PAD).

 

Finally scheduling MONTH OF DANCE include the presentation of the book "Opening borders: interdisciplinary approaches to choreology ", publication coordinated by Cecilia Nocilli and Ana Maria Diaz Olaya; the meeting – conference "Language Space: choreography and architecture ", taught by Maria Aguilar and Manuela Nogales; and the cycle of projections Dancing space ', presented by the journalist Rosalía Gómez

and will include the short film "Another winter ', dance video "Dancing in my neighborhood" 2017 and 2018 and archives of the Cinémathèque of Dance "Danser l'Espace '.
