Exposure: The virtues of the solitary bird. Tribute to Juan Goytisolo

Three Cultures of the Mediterranean Foundation hosts at its headquarters, from 6 April, an exhibition of works paper Hassan Bourkia, Moroccan artist, and Spanish Santiago Arranz.

The sample, made of 40 pintuas works on paper kraff small, It originates from the reading of the work "The virtues of the solitary bird", of Juan Goytisolo. In his work, the author delves into the work of John of the Cross by establishing ties between Christian mysticism and Sufi poetry.

"The virtues of the solitary bird", published in 1988, It is one of the classics of Goytisolo. A combination of erotica, poetry, mysticism and innovation in a text accompanied by illustrations by the artist Frederic Amat.

This dual exhibition is an initiative of Mohamed Habib Samrakandi, director of the Cultural Horizons revista Mughrabi, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the publication of the work of Juan Goytisolo. Barcelona Author (1931), awarded the Cervantes Prize 2014, It is one of the most important Spanish writers and intellectuals of the Generation of half a century. His work ranges from novels, storybooks and travel, essays to poetry.
