Seville's Christmas lights were turned on on Friday 26 November, a little earlier than in previous years, with live music from the Municipal Symphonic Band and the Nuestra Señora del Sol Music Band. The date coincides with the last weekend of the month and will be one of the first Spanish capitals, next to Madrid and Malaga, to turn it on.

The Christmas lighting in Seville will decorate 285 streets and squares, eight more streets than last year. This year, also, there are exclusive decorations in the streets of Sierpes, Tetuán, Image, Laraña, Alfonso XII, Assumption, Constitution Avenue, La Campana and El Salvador. In this way, a renewed image of the center of Seville will be offered. The Seville City Council will also have a luminous cladding with more than 1500 meters of string of led lights and stars.

Three Christmas trees of different sizes will be installed in the Plaza Nueva, similar to the two that will go in the Plaza de San Francisco. Sound and light shows will take place in this enclave as in previous years.

The Christmas lights in Seville will be illuminated every afternoon until 6 January, of 18:30 a 23:00 hours, except for days 24 and 31 December and 5 January, that will last until one in the morning.

Pixel Tree of the Plaza de San Francisco

The Plaza de San Francisco is home to this Christmas the largest illuminated LED tree in Europe with more than 40 meters high and 14 meters in diameter. The ‘Pixel Tree’ will offer a light and music show this Christmas. It will be passable.
Schedule of the Pixel Tree of the Plaza de San Francisco:
– The tree will light up every day of 18:30 a 23:00 hours, except weekends and holidays and the eve of holidays until 00:00 (e exception of the days 24 and 31).
– Show schedule (of 6 Dec. 5 January) it will be every day, of 19:00 a 22:30, every half hour.
– The show may be interrupted at specific times, as during the delivery of the keys to the city to the Royal Herald or similar events in the vicinity.
