Update of the northern section of the line 3 of the Metro and tender the South in Seville

The Minister of Development, Infrastructures and Spatial Planning, Marifrán Carazo, has announced that the company UG21 will be awarded the drafting and updating of the project for the northern section of the line 3 of the Seville Metro (Montano Pine-Prado de San Sebastián), with a budget of 433.183 euros and an execution period of ten months.

It has also advanced that today it has been sent to the Official Journal of the European Union, the tender for the upgrade and expansion of the southern section of the line 3 (The Prado de San Sebastián-Bellavista), so before the end of the month, in a few days, will be in the contractor's profile.

This tender has a budget of 4,5 million euros and an execution period of 24 months.

Mario Muñoz-Atanet, has reiterated that its objective is to advance in the expansion of the Seville suburban area.

Despite the delay suffered by the Covid-19 pandemic and the suspension of public procurement procedures decreed by the Government of Spain during these months, his wish is that the line works 3 of the Seville Metro start in this legislature.

North section:

Its route is 7,55 kilometres, plus 1,35 kilometers of technical branch, namely, 8,9 kilometres. Includes passage through the Virgen Macarena University Hospital, inter alia, will have 12 stations and will tour in 18 minutes.

South section:

The route between Eritaña and the Heliópolis station –in front of the Benito Villamarín stadium- is studied., the route through Manuel Siurot underground, option that is added to the existing one by La Palmera, also buried.
