GeoSevilla – Sevilla House of Science

Two hundred pieces from mineral, fossils and rocks, all of them from the Museum of Geology at the University of Seville, make up this exhibition where a journey is made by the witnesses of the geological processes that have occurred in the Land from the Paleozoico until today and that have shaped the Planet as it is known today.

But also, portion of this sample, which will be permanently The House of Science and it is the result of a collaboration agreement with the University of Sevilla, It presents a special attention to the local geology, how it has shaped the territory of the province of Seville and the elements on it can be found. The origin of Geology Museum of the University of Sevilla is the Cabinet of Natural History in the year 1850 he founded Antonio Machado and Núñez, Professor of the University of Seville and one of the first popularizers of Darwin's theory of Evolution of Species. The pieces are spread across several display cases where, with the help of information panels, the different geological eras will travel, explaining the events that took place in each.
