Sevillian writer and philologist Antonio Rodríguez Almodóvar will be in charge of the inaugural conference of the Book Fair in Seville 2016, which will be dedicated to literature children and youth. From 28 April to 8 May, Plaza Nueva will host an attractive program about books aimed at younger, an issue in which children's literature will occupy a prominent place.

Given the highly participatory nature of the Fair, the organization already open the deadline for activities, and encourage libraries, publishers and cultural groups to make proposals of all kinds related to the book and especially dedicated to children and young people.

Rodríguez Almodóvar (Alcalá de Guadaira, Seville, 1941) He was recently elected Corresponding Member of the Royal Spanish Academy of Language. In addition, is National Prize for Literature Children and Youth and recognized for their hard work and research study on the recovery of oral folktales transmission. Novelist, poet, playwright and journalist, He is the author of more than 50 books, including the famous Stories de la media lunita, republished from 1985. As a result of this active work in the recovery of Spanish folk tales, Ana Maria Matute, at the reception of Cervantes Prize 2010, Rodriguez called Almodóvar the third brother Grimm.

This dedication is another step in the firm commitment that the Book Fair in Seville makes the books and reading, work for which he received in 2010 the National Award for Promoting Reading, awarded by the Ministry of Culture. Thousands of students visit the exhibition every year with their centers through an already established and successful program organized by the Department of Education of the City of Sevilla in collaboration with Grupo Anaya and Jose Manuel Lara Foundation. Likewise, during the weekends are numerous bookstores, publishers and other entities that organize storytellers, meetings with authors and varied activities for children of all ages and their families.

The Book Fair Sevilla is consolidated as the main event of the book in Andalucia sector and a major in the national calendar. Your organization depends on the Feria de Sevilla Paper Association, forming part of organizations representing the sector, and recently they elected President to Esperanza Alcaide bookstore Seville, and renewed confidence in the direction of the Fair Javier Lopez.

Both economically and in providing activities, Book Fair of Seville continues as mainstays of the Institute of Culture and Arts (ICAS) City of Seville and the Andalusian Center for Literature (CAL) the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía. It also has the support of the Provincial de Sevilla, Cajasol Foundation, by kitty (University of Sevilla), International University of Andalusia, Andalusian Studies Center, José Manuel Lara Foundation and Grupo Anaya, among other collaborators.
