Peter Campus is one of the most important pioneers of video art. However, the nature of its complex-especially with works facilities has always limited its presentation. this exhibition, his first one in France and in Spain, is, at least in this, exceptional. From closed-circuit installations and videos made from 1971, to more recent works, in all the processes of perception and vision in which the particular characteristics of the electronic image are based they are scanned and then digitally.

The visitor enters a place to live an experience, where participate and risk some of his own image; without the intervention of the spectator's work is not activated, no place. Thanks to direct, "interactive" devices decade 1970 are different puzzles in which the double self mismatched never, where the relationship with the image itself is always problematic.

From 1978, Peter Campus decides to abandon his studies and devote himself exclusively to photography. Since then, the workshop will be the nature. When you return to video 1996, It is the digital media, with much lighter equipment. His works take an intimate and poetic character, although still experimental. In 2007, You decide to make "videography" fixed -Planes without assembly- the landscapes of Long Island that are familiar. then he worked for several years in digital format images, so that treating the pixels in motion gives them a certain degree of abstraction that engages the viewer in a new exercise of perception and interpretation.

His intense relationship with the chosen location and attention to light, color and frame, They reached a peak in his most recent work, made for this exhibition. Shot in ultra high definition (4K) in a natural setting, the visitor's gaze interacts here with sensitivity and emotion of another, artist.
